A 19th century Folk Art carved and painted half model Hull of a Coble Fishing Boat named Mary Clark; numbered 5 within a circle. The background Naively painted on a wooden panel, depicts a view South of Tynemouth Castle and Priory with the original Lighthouse overlooking the North Sea. The boat is heading towards the mouth of the River Tyne. In the distance there are numerous sailing vessels including fishing boats and a paddle steamer. The frame has been built around the panel in a tray like fashion.
