The subject was likely taken from a line engraving by Johann Georg Wille 1715-1808, after the original oil painting “The Rommel-pot Player” by Godfried Schalken 1643-1706. Oil on oak panel 15.5 x 13.7 cm. – housed at the Museum Karlsruhe, Staatcicke Kunsthalle.
