This large gouache painting was published by Carl Theodor MÜLLER early in the 19th century; in good condition on thick wove paper. Contained in a silvered frame with a new mount and glazed.

The print has no mention of the artist but was published by Carl Theodor Müller who was active at Naples in the early 19th century. Engraved circa 1820, with printed title ‘Vue du Golfe de Pozzuoli / Prise du Couvent des Capucins / Chez C. T. Muller à Naples’ (lower centre). Plate: 29 x 37.5 cm. The illustrated print is not included in the sale of the watercolour.
