A pair of interesting architectural drawings of Hamburg, 19th century. Housed in a single frame. Pencil with blue and brown washes on two separate sheets of paper, the title ‘Hamburg’ is written in pencil on a thin strip of white paper below the two drawings. The top sheet on blue paper depicts a single building with a clock tower, possibly a town hall. The second sheet on buff paper depicts a group of buildings in a town square. The pictures have been mounted onto a sheet of cream coloured mountboard and framed in a partially gilded oak frame of the period.
