British School 1803 – Greenock Journeymen Coopers Society Certificate

Rare, engraved certificate of the Greenock Journeymen Coopers Society; rectangular certificate with an oval shape design, sub-divided into four pictures showing different stages of barrel making. Inscribed in brown ink: No. 621, made to – Hugh Buil (Bewick?), Grocer, Greenock, 12 July 1803. Housed in a carved and gilded fruitwood frame of the period.
