Mortimer Menpes – The Thames

A Set of Nine Etchings and Drypoints, depicting scenes on the river Thames. Each print is signed in pencil and displayed with hand written titles and numbers on their original mounts. Framed and Glazed.

Description

Each print with its mount were cut from a large format cloth covered binding with leather spine (53 x 46.5 cm). Inscriptions on the face of the binding are tooled in gold.  The name ‘Maud’ is shown within a rectangular box at the centre of the cover with ‘Volume X’ to the bottom and title to top. One other volume is also available with the initials ‘MM’ tooled in gold in place of the name ‘Maud’.
