Corbellini, Luigi (1901-1968)

Luigi Corbellini was born in Italy in 1901. He was a sculptor and painter of genre scenes, landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits. He began art lessons at a young age. In 1923, he moved to Paris and became successful as a popular portraitist. He was widely exhibited in Parisian galleries throughout the 1950s. Corbellini spent the last two decades of his life traveling the world and exhibiting his art in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Venezuela, Viet Nam, Hong Kong, Tahiti and Japan. Corbellini is represented in the National Modern Art Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Paris, the Museum of Grenoble, the Modern Art Museum of Ricci Oddi in Italy and the Petit Palais in Geneva.
