Clarkson, William Herbert (1872-1944)

William Clarkson studied under Henry Tonks at The Slade School of Art and was commissioned to draw for surgeons as a War Artist while serving in France, 1914-18. They were mostly anatomical as at that time they were just starting to work on X-rays. A collection of his anatomical drawings are in the archives of The Queens Hospital Sidcup.
