Evans, William (active 1797-1856)
William Evans was a draughtsman, stipple and line engraver of portraits and decorative subjects after his contemporaries. He worked in London for the Society of Dilettanti, Boydell and others in about 1800. He also produced pencil and wash portraits.
An artist with the same name is listed as having exhibited a number of portraits (some apparently in oils) at the RA from 1797-1807.
